Carolyn’s walk has been the test of fire. Her experiences give credibility to her story, empathy to her listening ear, compassion to her hugs, and a knowing light behind the twinkle in her eyes. She understands the tender-to-the-touch parts of people’s lives and generates in those same people a confidence and a capacity to live through whatever challenges that life might throw at them, growing in strength through faith, trust, and personal accountability.

AS AUTHOR / SPEAKER / PRESENTER

Carolyn is the author of Sonflowerlives, a “conversation” with her readers that speaks to both the common place and the unusual aspects of our human existence. Her exposés resonate with readers’ emotions and generate a deep sense of oneness with her.

In Over the Mountain, Carolyn chronicles her life through exceedingly difficult times and how her faith led her through trying times. Over the Mountain is written as a series of letters composed to her brother / friend / confidant who passed away while they were both in their twenties.

Carolyn is also contributing columnist to the La Junta Tribune Democrat and ImagesAZ Magazine and has made numerous presentations to schools, churches, civic and religious organizations.

AS LEADER

Carolyn’s experience has positioned her to provide leadership, both formal and informal in many organizations and roles:
President – Jamul-Dulzura PTA / PTSA
Founder – Gifted Students Recognition Program – Jamul-Dulzura Union School District
Regional Director – University of Denver Alumni Admissions Counsel
Officer / Member – PEO
Coordinator / facilitator – Alpha – Christ Church Anglican
Director of Music – St. Philips Episcopal Church
Director – Kids of the Kingdom – St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church

Her leadership extends to the work environment where Carolyn has been leading children as Director of Music for schools in Ohio, Arizona, California, and Colorado where she has developed “world-class” music programs everywhere she has been. Carolyn has also touched the lives of hundreds of children as a private music educator, integrating the lesson of music with the melodies of life.
